Our Favorite Self-Love Affirmations

We talk a lot about healthy eating and exercise on here but realized that none of it matters without self-love. When we first created Snatchletics it was with the desire to create a athleisure brand that empowers women to feel good about themselves. A brand for all women of all backgrounds, shapes, and sizes. When we look at a lot of athletic brands what they sell may seem unattainable or they sell a lifestyle that may not mesh with who we are or how we feel about ourselves. At Snatchletics we want you to feel good in the body that you’re in, to live authentically, and to care for yourself both mentally, physically and emotionally. Self-love is one major aspect of this, because as the saying goes: If you love yourself everything else will fall into place.

Some of us already love ourselves with all of our imperfections, and for others it’s a bit harder. One way to keep reminding yourself of how awesome you are is with affirmations. Affirmations are positive statements that you tell yourself to help reprogram your mind to think in a less negative way. It is important to keep saying them to yourself until you truly believe them. People use affirmations for a variety of situations, for stress reduction, to confidence building, to even wealth creation.

Some believe that you should stand in front of the mirror and say them out loud for the best results. But honestly how and where you say them doesn’t matter. You can say them to yourself out loud, in your head, anywhere any time. You can also write them down on sticky notes and leave them around your house as gentle reminders. I personally love leaving them at my work desk, or by my bathroom mirror.
