Gym Bag Must Haves

We’ve all been there we get to the gym ready to workout, only to realize we forgot to pack our headphones or water bottle in our gym bag. We may even experience the opposite where we’ve overpacked our bag. So we wanted to share with you some of our gym bag essentials. 

Sneakers

A good pair of gym shoes are of the utmost importance. You want them to fit just right. Gym shoes can make or break your workout session, so make sure you invest in a good quality pair cause nobody wants blisters or sore feet after a good workout session. Depending on what type of exercises you do, you want to see if you want to buy a pair of running or cross training shoes.

Headphones

If you’re anything like us we prefer to listen to our own music at the gym. Somehow a gym session can feel even more productive with the right playlist. We recommend a pair of wireless headphones, you can check out our blog post on the best workout headphones.

Microfiber Towel

For those of us who sweat a lot during our workouts this is a must have. There are a lot of different ones you can choose from, but they all pretty much work the same. Just make sure you get a compact one that fits in your gym bag.

Reusable Water Bottle 

This one goes without saying, but you want to make sure that you’re staying hydrated during your workouts. So, a reusable water bottle will do the trick. Post Workout Snack

The best way to avoid those sore muscles the next day is to eat a post workout snack. Bananas are perfect for sore muscles, but you can really pack any fruit, protein bar, or walnuts for that post workout boost.

A Good Sports Bra

Listen, this one is so important. Nobody wants to feel not supported while working out. It’s uncomfortable and can seriously make or break a good gym session. So, make sure you pack a good one.

Beauty Essentials

These are important for after your workout. Some of us prefer to shower at home but for those of us that do at the gym it’s important to pack deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, a wide-toothed comb, and lotion. You can also pack some dry shampoo if you don’t have time or energy to go through a whole wash routine.
