5 Easy and Fun Ways to Drink More Water

We did a recent poll on our Instagram stories asking our followers whether they drink enough water during the day, and the answers would surprise you. Even with the weather getting warmer the majority of our followers did not drink the recommended amount of water in a day, which is eight 8oz glasses of water a day. But we’re not here to harp on your water drinking, instead we want to share some fun and easy ways you can stay on track with your water intake.

  1. Infuse Your Water with Fresh Fruit

Add some exciting freshness to your cold water, by adding frozen  fruit to your drink. Frozen diced watermelon cubes with sliced lime gives a refreshing yet delicious taste to a cold glass of water. Cucumber slices with lemon are also great way to infuse your drink.

  1. Get a Reusable Water Bottle

Taking a water bottle everywhere you go will make it easy for you to keep track of your water intake. There are so many different types of water bottles to choose from that it can be hard for you to pick one. We recommend the Hydrate Me Water Bottle Weights from Waist Snatchers. These awesome bottles not only hold 72 ounces (2.2 Liters) of water but they also double as a 5-pound weight once they’re all the way filled up.

  1. Drink Sparkling Water

Gone are the days of bland tasting sparkling water. Up your water intake by replacing sodas with one of these flavored beverages. Grocery store shelves are lined with large assortments of sparkling water flavors. From strawberry, lime, to watermelon you’re bound to find one that suits your taste.

  1. Get a Water Tracking App

We carry our phones everywhere we go so it’s the perfect tool to set reminders for you to drink more water. There are plenty of great free apps that not only help you keep track of your water intake, but also send you daily notices to keep on drinking. We love the H2O Pal app.

  1. Eat Your Water

Yes, you heard me right. You can eat your water. There are an abundance of fresh fruit and veggies that are chock full of water which makes them super hydrating. Of course, this doesn’t replace a glass of water but can still be helpful with staying hydrated, plus you’ll get a ton of get to eat a ton of awesome vitamins while you’re at it. Great examples of water rich veggies and fruits are watermelon, tomatoes, cucumbers, strawberries, peaches, oranges, and lettuce.
